Fifty Shades Of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey is a 2011 erotic novel by British author E. L. James. Set largely in Seattle, it is the first instalment in a trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism (BDSM).

E L James on The Classic FM Interview

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James spent an hour in the company of Nick Ferrari for The Classic FM Interview.
E L James didn't start writing until she was in her 40s when three years ago, she began to pen Fifty Shades of Grey. The book went onto sell 5.5 million copies and was the first in the Fifty Shades trilogy. She has now sold the rights to the Fifty Shades film and has been included in Time Magazine's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
James is, quite simply, a publishing phenomenon – and in this fascinating interview, she talks candidly about the inspiration behind her unbelievably successful 'Fifty Shades' book trilogy and her ambition to make classical music more accessible.
